Seniors participated in Senior Interview Day on November 20th which is the most exciting, yet one of the most stressful days, for seniors as they participate in mock interviews with companies and corporations from all over the area.
Seniors were rightfully nervous right before the interviews. They were overwhelmed over the thought of all the questions that could be possibly asked. “What am I going to say?”, “What if I don’t respond quick enough?” and “What if I stutter?” are 3 sentences that fly through their minds as they await their interviewer.
“I’m just going to stay calm and relaxed. I’m going to be true to myself,” senior Josh Benzing explained.
Benzing just wanted to not overthink the situation to avoid all that nervousness.“I’m excited. I’m used to the pressure and embrace it,” said Benzing as he patiently awaited his interview.
As the interviews come to a close, the seniors tend to feel this release of stress from their shoulders.
“I was originally worried, but once I sat down, all the nervousness was gone,” said senior Vasili Kazakos. He explained how once he settled down in his interview, it was just another conversation, just another interview.
“The stress was for nothing, really,” Kazakos said with a smile.
